FLEETWASH Can Protect Your Fleet from Rust and Corrosion with Undercarriage Cleanings

Road salt is often part of a sand mixture spread over roadways during ice and snowstorms. In the same way saltwater can oxidize metals, these ice preventatives can eat away at the paint and finish of the metal on your frame - even affecting galvanized steel if left to sit for  too long.  The electrical wiring throughout your truck cab is also vulnerable to corrosive properties of salt and water, if left long enough.

Be sure to schedule your special FLEETWASH undercarriage cleaning at least once a month, and definitely at the begining of spring to remove a season's worth of built up!

FLEETWASH in the News

April 13, 2020 - CBS News in Chicago recently aired a segment highlighting current cleaning practices on metropolitan trains and buses in response to COVID-19, comparing the methods used in Chicago and New York. The reporter reveals that New York has begun using a special anti-microbial spray at the end of the cleaning, which provides a protective coating on all surfaces. FLEETWASH crews are seen disinfecting vehicles using this anti-microbial spray after deep cleaning corporate and government vehicles - as well as other vehicles shared by multiple drivers.

FLEETWASH has been on the front lines performing this type of deep cleaning since the onset of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, disinfecting vehicles, facilities, offices, warehouses, and any high-touch surfaces for businesses and governments.

There are many reasons to keep your parking lot lines bright and clear. Here are our top 5. Do you need Line Striping help? Give FLEETWASH a call.

1. Traffic Safety

Invest in parking lot line striping (or line painting) regularly to reduce pedestrian and auto accidents. Clear yellow and white lines maintain clear traffic patterns on your property. Add reflectors for better night vision.

2. Fire Safety

Every minute counts in an emergency. Maintain a clear path for emergency responders. Bright yellow line striping will keep your parking lot fire zones clearly marked and prevent unwanted loading and unloading – or worse, a parked car.

3. Maximize Capacity

Keeping your parking line stripes bright white and distinct helps not only customers but your business. Tighter parking spots can maximize every cubic foot of your parking lot. More spots outside means more customers inside your property.

4. Secure Handicap Access

Maintain handicap designated spots, located closer to the building entrances, with clean, clear blue line striping.

5. Brand Protection

Nothing beats freshly painted, bright, white and yellow lines on a clean parking lot. Whether you are a retail store, apartment complex or a commercial property, your customers will appreciate a well maintained parking lot. First impressions are important. What does your parking lot say about your property?

Customers Look for MORE than Cleanliness in their Roadtrip Oasis

The pressure is on. As consumers get stretched thinner and thinner, gas stations and convenience stores are evolving to help their harried customers do more in fewer trips. That means introducing newer services and different features to change how consumers think about their next trip to the station. But it doesn’t matter if your customers can pay with an app or you offer fancy coffee—a clean, inviting storefront will never go out of style.

Sustainability and environmentally-sustainable corporate operations are hot-button topics these days. Unlike many companies, a focus on sustainability has been a park of FLEETWASH culture since our company’s inception in 1973. Back then, FLEETWASH recognized the need for transportation managers to operationalize responsible cleaning of their growing fleets of trucks. They needed a more cost-effective, mobile washing solution with a reliable means to capture and dispose of wash wastewater. FLEETWASH was there to help.

Even why the EPA might be closely monitoring your drainage and sewer system usage.

Getting you clean while keeping you GREEN

FLEETWASH started its washing operation in 1973. The need for a mobile service was evident in the quickly expanding transportation and distribution industry in the greater New York City area. Many spawning companies had growing truck fleets that all needed to be cleaned, and the original mobile truck washing idea took off and grew rapidly through the 70's and continued to grow into the 80's.
